Since we shared the first single off multi-talented drummer, producer and rapper Kassa Overall’s new album I THINK I’M GOOD a few weeks ago, the young phenom has been added to the roster of Gilles Peterson’s London-based label Brownswood Recordings, pushing the release of his second opus to February 28. We couldn’t be more stoked for Overall who has been making waves largely of his own accord since the self-release of his debut album Go Get Ice Cream and Listen to Jazz in January, and the brilliant 2018 EP Drake It Till You Make It, both adding to a slew of singles and collaborations over the past ten years plus. Kassa Overall, or simply Kass for the homies, is now well on his way to making some serious noise both in the jazz realm and in the hip hop macrocosm.
