You may remember saxophonist Mike Lebrun from his work with pianist Josh Moshier. The two made a great pair, but when Moshier left Chicago to head to Los Angeles, Lebrun kept plugging along in his scene until he, too, departed for Los Angeles, started a label, Beakerbox Records, and is set to drop his solo album, Shades, on September 18th. To kick it all off, Lebrun just dropped the first single from Shades, the very cool “Going Through the Emotions” featuring Moonchild’s Amber Navran on vocals.
