Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah – “Ancestral Recall” feat. Saul Williams (Stream)

Fresh off his Grammy nomination for 2017’s The Emancipation Procrastination, the third album of his Centennial Trilogy, trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah is gearing up to drop a new album, Ancestral Recall, on March 22nd on Ropeadope/Stretch Music.

This actually comes as a bit of a surprise considering the man dropped three spectacular albums in one year not too long ago, so to hear this same restless spirit continue to create at such a high level is a great joy. As in his previous releases, Scott aTunde Adjuah is melding African Diasporic musical influences of all sorts to create a trademark sound of his own, which is very apparent in the title track from the new album featuring spoken word from poet (and fellow Morehouse alum) Saul Williams. Check out the track after the jump and keep your eyes and ears peeled for Ancestral Recall this March.
