It’s becoming more and more apparent that the world has gotten hip to Thundercat. Bassist Stephen Bruner has been racking up praise and press over the last few years, most lately for his work on Kendrick Lamarr’s To Pimp A Butterfly and on saxophonist Kamasi Washington’s three-hour debut, The Epic. His voice, through his literal voice and his style of play, have become recognizable to many to the point of being almost iconic. Thus, that same iconic voice rings through in Thundercat’s new EP that he just released this week on the Brainfeeder label– The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam. Check out the centerpiece single of the 15 minute mini album, “Them Changes”, after the jump.
