It’s been three whole years since New York City music collective (U)nity released their debut album Peace.Love & Music. However, there is now solid evidence that the dormant volcano that is (U)nity might be gearing up for an imminent musical eruption. Case in point, head over to iamunity.com and the message is clear: “(U)NITY IS POWER. (U)nity’s Highly Expected 2nd album & Documentary film. Coming Soon.” Well played (U)nity. You have our attention now. But until a week ago, those were but a few empty words displayed on a reclusive corner of the internet. That is until what we believe to be the first single from the album landed on the band’s Soundcloud. You can check out “Can I Get A Dolla” for yourselves below the jump. The track features core members Amaury Acosta on drums, Axel Tosca Laugart on wurlitzer, Michael Valeanu on guitar and Max Cudworth on alto as well as Joshua Crumbly on bass, Devonne Harris (Dj harrison) on organ and Pedrito Martinez on vocals (Mojuba). We dig it. We dig it a lot. But we are left eager for more.
