The Line-Up for 4 November 2016

Dave Douglas & Frank Woeste – Mains Libres
I think I may have been won over by Dada People.
Fat Jon – Muses
Le Boeuf Brothers + JACK Quartet – Pretenders
Still wanting to give this some airtime
Shabaka and the Ancestors – Joyous
My continued playing of this is more and more based on the inspiration of Chris Galvan’s Nu Standards, I think.
Ufsp – Sunny Delight
Pazes – Etacarinae
Stephan Crump’s Rhombal – NoD for Nelson
I had another one of those “the voice track messed up” moments, but know that I still love this album dearly, no matter what technical difficulties get in the way.
Aziza – Aquila
Maybe it’s just because I’m a sucker for Lionel Loueke…
Donny McCaslin – Beyond Now
My excitement about McCaslin’s new album continues.
Takuya Kuroda – Red Spade Black Diamond
I just got ahold of Zigzagger so I’m going to be working my way through this soon.
Black Market Brass – The Powers
I was combing through the library looking for a relatively short song to fill time and I was immediately won over by this Minneapolis group who have a new album out, Cheat and Start a Fight. I was won over really quickly; you might be, too.
Flying Lotus – Breathe . Something/Stella STar
Mast – The Liberation feat. Makaya McCraven
I’m still very much in love with Love and War_. I may have even said the same thing last week. The sentiment continues, then.
