That absolute weirdo Jason Lindner is back with his group Now Vs Now with a new album, The Buffering Cocoon, out September 14th on Jazzland Recordings. NvN’s third album, with bassist Panagiotis Andreou and drummer Justin Tyson, is pretty great (I’ve been listening to a preview stream and can’t wait to tell you all about it). Lindner has found even odder depths of sound to uncover and he’s synthier than ever. Take for example the first single off the new album, “Motion Potion”. It’s a dirty little jam that you’ll want to rock for a while until The Buffering Cocoon drops in a couple months. Give it some play after the jump.
