Born in 1969, cradled by Thelonious Monk, Oscar Peterson and Erroll Garner, Edouard Bineau begins his musical journey at the age of 14 by playing harmonica and guitar in blues bands influenced by Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters and Hot Tuna.

In 1988, he teaches himself piano and harmony by listening, among others, to Bill Evans, Hank Jones, Miles Davis, Charlie Haden, Paul Bley and John Coltrane.

In 1999, his career in jazz is launched as he begins playing some of his own compositions in Parisian jazz clubs such as the Petit Opportun, the Sunset and the Caveau de la Huchette.
