It's rare to say that a remix album can feel like a true labor of love instead of a one-off side project, but one can get that feel from the Le Boeuf Brothers' latest release. Simply titled Remixed, the album out now on their Bandcamp is a collection of remixed songs largely from their 2011 album, In Praise of Shadows along with collaborations with other artists like Kissy Girls, Dave Binney, Tim Lefebvre, and others. After the likes of Robert Glasper and Portico Quartet, maybe this jazz remix album thing is taking off. Judging from the quality here, this may be a pretty cool trend. Check out a stream of Remixed after the jump and make sure to buy it from their Bandcamp page.
