A pair of crowdsourced jazz documentaries are on the horizon that seem quite interesting.

Recently, the Robert Glasper Experiment announced an Indiegogo campaign to produced a documentary about their world touring exploits. The group have 27 days left to raise their $80,000 goal. The documentary is already more than half completely shot; the funding would toward completing the shooting and for the editing process. The gifts for this project include downloads of the film and soundtrack, autographed posters, thanks in the film, and more. Head to their Indiegogo page to contribute.

The legendary Wayne Shorter is also working to raise funds for a documentary on his PledgeMusic page. This project, which is 23 days away from its deadline, will celebrate the longstanding career of the great saxophonist. Shooting has been going for some time now and, if all goes according to plan, should release next year. For contributing to this documentary, you can get a thank you note from the director, a signed poster of the Without a Net cover art, a Skype interview with Shorter himself, and much more.

Both of these projects are worth your money and enthusiasm. With less than a month to go, they'll definitely need all the support we can give so make sure you do what you can to make these documentaries happen.
