Two of our favorite Nextbop artists, pianist Dan Tepfer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Wendel (Kneebody, Tigran Hamasyan’s Aratta Rebirth) have teamed up in what we’ll call a stroke of genius to bring us a duo album. Small Constructions will be released on Sunnyside Records March 12th during the pairs’ US and European March tour (dates below). Luckily for the impatient ones among you, the team was also immortalized by videographer Alex Chaloff (remember that sick Mehliana video I posted last week?). Check out the three videos below while they’re fresh!

Introducing the Remi Panossian Trio (EPK)

Somehow stumbled on this Remi Panossian EPK. The young (everything's relative, lol, he's about 30) pianist hailing from Montpellier, France, is about to drop his sophomore album with acolytes Maxime Delporte on upright and Frederic Petitprez on drums. I like what I'm hearing so far. Can't wait to listen to the album in it's entirety!! And if I still haven't convinced you to click "Play", keep in mind Remi obtained “Revelation of the year 2011″ by the french radio TSF JAZZ, a mention he shared with Gregory Porter.
