'Black Radio Recovered' Prize Pack Giveaway

Seb & ADH
info@nextbop.com / @nextbop

What are your thoughts on Robert Glasper? Around these parts, we think he's pretty dope and his album Black Radio with the rest of his Experiment (including Casey Benjamin, Derrick Hodge, and Chris "Daddy Dave) is one of the best albums of the year. His remix album, Black Radio Recovered takes that same brilliance and pushes things even further. If you aren't privy to that greatness, here's your chance for that and more for free-ski. Courtesy of EMI, we're giving away five prize packs which include a Black Radio Recovered winter hat, t-shirt, signed poster and copy of the remix EP. It's a pretty sweet package so you should definitely fill out the form below for your chance to win.

There was a lot of hype and fanfare surrounding the Robert Glasper Experiment's performance at the iTunes Festival this past Sunday in London. With appearances from Lionel Loueke, Lalah Hathaway, Alan Hampton, Bilal, Phonte (of The Foreign Exchange), Patrick Stump (of Fall Out Boy [?!]), and DOOM (He showed up! No imposter! Seriously!), the fanfare around the 2 ½ hour set was well worth it. In case you missed it (which I did, myself, so don't feel bad), the whole show found its way onto YouTube as these things tend to do and here that set resides after the jump.

The relatively new Ginny's Supper Club in Harlem is quickly making a name for itself, especially when it features class act sets from the likes of Robert Glasper, the legendary Pino Palladino, and Chris "Daddy" Dave. The trio performed a couple weeks ago at the club beneath the Red Rooster (put on by our friends at Revive Da Live) with a set featuring appearances from saxophonist Marcus Strickland and vocalists Jose James, Taylor McFerrin, and Bilal. The bootlegs from the performance are streaming here.
