It's been a little over a year since the Robert Glasper Experiment's Black Radio won over jazz, R&B, hip hop, and music fans in general the world over, winning the Grammy for Best R&B album. A follow up in the same vein was bound to happen and from the looks of things, Black Radio 2, will be better than ever. The upcoming album, out October 29th, will features more original songs ( this album only has one cover) and a slight change-up in the line up of Glasper on keys, Derrick Hodge on bass, Casey Benjamin on vocoder and saxophone, and Mark Colenburg on drums (who often plays with the group in live settings and will be taking the place of Chris "Daddy" Dave on this release). Check out more info, the tracklist, and a stream of "Calls" featuring Jill Scott after the jump.

Robert Glasper Experiment - Fever (Feat. Hindi Zahra) (Stream)

Hey, remember Robert Glasper Experiment's Black Radio, the best album of 2012? Yeah, that album's awesome. Good times, good times. However, as great as Black Radio is, there's a sprinkling of extra dopeness that the French version of the album got. Give a listen to this bonus track, "Fever", featuring the vocal talents of Hindi Zahra (who also appears on José James' new album, No Beginning, No End which is streaming at NPR now, drops next week, and is produced by Glasper, in case you want to connect the dots).

Some time back, we linked to the first part of an interview between Robert Glasper and newcoming Blue Note vocalist José James. Now, the entire interview has hit the web. Listen to the two talk about James' upcoming album, No Beginning, No End (out January 22), working with Glasper as a producer, how legendary bassist Pino Palladino got involved, and discover that RG's got jokes (if you didn't know that already). Watch it after the jump.

I normally have mixed feelings about dedicating whole stand-alone posts to other folks' journalism work. However, when there's video of Robert Glasper interviewing fellow Blue Note labelmate José James, that's certainly an exception I can make with such mastercraft journalism work. Check out the two talk about James' upcoming album, No Beginning, No End.
