If 2012 taught us anything, it's that any combination of keyboardist Jason Lindner and drummer Mark Guiliana is surefire win. Guiliana's group, BEAT MUSIC, is proof of this. Guitarist Lionel Loueke's album Heritage of last year is further proof of this. This is why it's such a treat to hear Loueke sit in with BEAT MUSIC at Rockwood Music Hall last month. Check out this group including bassist Chris Morrissey knock out Guiliana's "Spirit Animal" after the jump.

Forget morning radio, I can't think of a better way to wake up than with some more genius by the Brad Mehldau and Mark Guiliana duo This is just a taste of the tour the two will be on through Europe during the month of March. After that, Mehldau links up with mandolinist, MacArthur "genius" fellow, and leader of Punch Brothers Chris Thile for some U.S. dates. Check out pure dopeness and all the tour dates after the jump.

Kory asked me to do him a favor and take the reins of his show on drumming, Rhythm Heads, last week, so I immediately thought to find all the music that KRTU had that featured Mark Guiliana, my kind-of obsession drummer for 2012, and cram as much of it as I could into this hour.
