Marco Benevento has been steady cooking up new material on top of his constant gigging. His latest album, TigerFace, is poised to release September 11. If the rest of the album plays like this latest single, "Limbs of a Pine", which posted to Rolling Stone last week, things are about to get trippier than ever before, which is what we should expect from Benevento. Check it out after the jump.

You know about Record Store Day, right? It's a day dedicated to getting folks back to those dusty covens of pure music nerdery-- record stores. Musicians of all sorts release singles and limited releases sold in local record stores nationwide. Depending on your city, it can be a hell of a good time every April. Not to be left out, Marco Benevento has an exclusive 7" single titled "This Is How It Goes" that drops this coming Record Store Day, i.e. this Saturday. Check out the stream here and pick it up this weekend at your local record store. The song features vocals from Kalmia Traver and the band Rubblebucket, a first for Benevento.

Marco Benevento Live at Radio Bean Coffeehouse (video)

Marco Benevento spent this past weekend in Vermont playing a bunch of shows with his usual vigor (which borders on “freaking insane”). In case you weren’t in at the Radio Bean Coffeehouse in Burlington, Vermont this past Friday, they streamed both sets (which really became one big set since the band took a set break lasting all of two minutes in which Benevento turned to his laptop and put on War’s “Low Rider” and then played along with the song shortly thereafter). Benevento is our kind of psycho here at Nextbop so it was a given that we’d post the set here when it became available.

We here at Nextbop have come to the conclusion, after scouring Marco Benevento’s latest press release, that he does not need sleep or is incapable of it. While that might cause a psychotic break one day, for now we will all revel in his constant album output and exhaustive touring schedule.
